Valley of Flowers

Day 1: NJP / Baghdogra Airport - Darjeeling
Arrive NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra airport, meeting & greetings on arrival & transfer to Darjeeling (Approx 94 Kms), Enroute Visit Mirick Lake & Nepal Border. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 02: Darjeeling
After breakfast at hotel, depart for the sight seeing Full Day city tour of Darjeeling. Parmesan Nadia Himalayan Zoological park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing, Gumbo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed On Sunday), Tea Estate, Lebong Race Course , Peace Pagoda. & Rock Garden - Ganga maya Park. Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 03: Darjeeling - Mirik - Darjeeling
Early Morning Excursion to Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop. Then go for the sight seeing tour of Mirik Lake via Nepal Border. Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 4: Darjeeling - Gangtok
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Gangtok (Approx 105Kms). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, later proceed for the half day sight seeing tour of Gangtok Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Chorten (Stupa), Orchid Sanctuary, Rumtek Monastery, Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 05: Gangtok - lachung
After Morning breakfast, proceed to Lachung (Approx 149 Kms) at an altitude of 8,600 ft. On the way stop and enjoy a few wonderful locations like Tashi Viewpoint, Kabi Lungstok, Naga Waterfalls, the confluence of Lachen chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang, Twin Waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Overnight stay at the hotel in Lachung.

Day 06: Lachung
After breakfast leave for Yumthang (11,800 ft.) On the way you may visit the famous hot spring. Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April/ May /June the valley erupts in a riot of colours as Rhododendrons, Primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In the winter months, Yumthang is somber with snow all around, and the snow clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty. After lunch visit Lachung Monastery, Cottage Industry and Waterfalls. Overnight stay at the hotel in Lachung.

Day 07: Lachung - Gangtok
After breakfast, proceed to Gangtok (Approx 115 kms). On the way stops between singhik, Mangan and if the weather is clear you may get to see the Khangchendzonga Range. This location offers a majestic view of Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru, Mt. Simvo, Mt. Jopuno, Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu. After lunch at Namok, visit Phodong Monastery on the way. Over night stay in Gangtok.

Day 08: Gangtok
After morning breakfast at hotel, depart for the sight seeing full day tour of Thshangu Lake & Baba Mandir. Over night in Gangtok.

Day 09: Gangtok - New Jalpaiguri / Baghdogra Airport
After morning breakfast check out hotel, transfer to the New Jaipaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra airport (Approx 130 kms), to connect the train / flight for onward destination.
