Today you visit the Taj Mahal, the monument of love built by Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 AD in memory of his queen. You will also see the Agra Fort. You can take a stroll in Kinari bazaar, the old market, which is a fascinating place to wander about. Overnight at the hotel.
You take the morning train to Jhansi and then drive to Khajuraho visiting Orchha en route. Once the capital city of the Bundelas, Orchha is set among a complex of well preserved palaces and temples. You will tour the Jehangir Mahal and the famous Ram Raja Temple, which was originally a palace but was turned into a temple when an image of Lord Ram was temporarily installed and proved impossible to remove. After spending a few hours in Orchha You will continue to Khajuraho, the city famed for temples and emblazoned with erotic carvings.
